Western Way Chapel says goodbye to John & Pam Frith.

Following our service on Sunday 26th August, John and Pam Frith were asked to come forward to receive presentations from the Fellowship at Western Way Chapel. The Secretary, Victor Newman, explained they were leaving this week to go to Lampeter in Wales to setup a new home. Victor thanked them both for the major contributions they had made to our small Fellowship which they had joined 4 years ago, following the closure of Newent Christian Fellowship in December 2013.

John Cox presented a beautiful Wildeve rose in a glazed Harlequin pot, Ruth Newman gave them a ’New Home’ card signed by members of the congregation, the oldest 93 and the youngest, 4 years of age. Victor Newman presented a National Garden token to complete the fellowship gifts. John and Pam thanked everyone and listened as the Aaronic Blessing from Numbers Chapter 6, verses 22-27 was read out “The Lord bless you and keep you….”.

To conclude, tea, coffee and tasty bites were enjoyed by all present who were able to pass on their own good wishes to John and Pam, it was a very memorable evening and we will miss them greatly.
