21st Century Fox?

Dave Farrants of Fox Video has worked his video wizardry once again and got Mike Hencher on YouTube. There's a few 'thought for the day' type programmes and 12 sessions of apologetics. For those who only use the old Latin word, apologia, in the sense of saying sorry, there is another meaning. Originally it meant a defence of something. These videos give the solid reasons for believing in the Christian faith. There are cold hard facts to check out. Christmas may give some the opportunity to figure out the reason for the season.
You can find all the videos HERE

Thou shalt...

Not all of the Ten Commandments are negative. In fact, if we lived by them the prisons would be empty and we would have the peace we are all looking for. Our next All-Age Service on the 21st at 11am will include a couple of fun ways of learning the Commandments in order. Do join us for this important refresher course.
At 6:30 the first part of a DVD will be shown based on the life of one of the greatest Baptist preachers of all time - Charles Spurgeon

HOPE has arrived!

We had a great time with the DVD series The HOPE last Sunday - it created an interesting discussion. The next instalment deals with development of The People of the Promise - Sunday 11am. At 5pm we celebrate the 37th Anniversary of the opening of the new chapel in Western Way. But those of you who have seen the super video Dave Farrants made for us will know that the original chapel dates from 1921. So this could be our 89th annual celebration. We will start with the food and then move on to a visual review of the year. As always our meetings are open to all - so you are very welcome.

HOPE IS COMING SOON!

Vic Newman will be speaking at our 10:15 service and the evening speaker is Mike Hencher.
Next month we are commencing a brand new service. From next month onwards our Sunday morning service will be at 11am instead of 10:15am.
So that will mean all our morning services will be at 11am, including the All-Age Service on the 3rd Sunday, which has been running for some time.
We will be starting the new style meeting with a series entitled The HOPE.
We trust that just having only two times to remember will make it easier for everyone. There will always be a service at 11am and 6:30pm.

Sparks are flying!

Well, not exactly, we have Rob Moore's team of electricians in to improve the electrical supply at the Chapel.
Of course, we do look for sparks to fly spiritually at our services. Almighty God is more powerful than all He has created in the Universe and we want to see His power flow to all the population around the Chapel.

Ten Commandments Test

Can you quote them and get the right order?
Come to the All- Age Service next Sunday and leave an expert!
11am - 11:45 is when we met and the invitation is to everyone.
The 6:30 session will focus on the Whole Armour of God.
Both services will be led by Mike Hencher.

Second Harvest?

Following Morning Worship at 10:15 this Sunday we are visiting Western Way Flats at 3pm to celebrate Harvest a second time.
Those in the flats may not be able always to get out, but we can come to them.
So instead of the normal evening service we will gather with the folks at Western Way to sing some harvest hymns and thank God for his goodness to us.

Albanian Adventure

Vic Newman will be speaking at our 10:15 service, but the evening will be something quite different.
At 6:30 Steve Cracknell and a team of youngsters will take us on an adventure! They have recently been to Albania the country that used to be called the "first atheist state of the world". Things are different now and the team will show photographs on the video projector to let us know just how much.
Are you up for an adventure?

"We were pleased to visit your church and we felt the same believing in our Lord Jesus Christ!

We thank you for your hospitality and kindness !

Our vacation is come to an end and we are back to school – work etc. but the memory of Dymock is still in our hearts!

Will you greet all the members of your church and special all of them we’ve met?"

Monday, 9 August 2010

Sunday 15th August 2010

The 6-30pm service will be the continuation of our series in Ephesians led by Mike Hencher.

Dutch Delight

We were so pleased to see a family of five from the Netherlands at last Sunday's evening service. They were staying at the old Ann Cam School and it was great that met Mabel McCulloch at the Chapel who attended the school in the 1930s. They are very much enjoying being in the Dymock area and found the Chapel on the internet.

Wednesday, 4 August 2010

Sunday 8th August 2010
There is no morning service today, but we would love to see you at 6:30pm. Mike Hencher will continue his series in Ephesians. This Sunday we will focus on chapter 1 verse 15 to chapter 2 verse 10. It's all about being 'Made Alive in Christ'
You're very welcome.

New Chapel promo video

We are very grateful to Dave Farrants of Fox Video for creating our video about the work at the Chapel. Dave's professionalism and hours of work have produced an excellent snapshot of the things that go on at Western Way. Dave can be contacted at www.foxvideo.co.uk

In Memory of David Davis

Many of you will remember David whom we miss tremendously at the Chapel. David had the vision to fit a multi-media projector for use in the services. In memory of Dave we have fulfilled his vision and a new 5000 lumen projector has been fitted plus a new P.A. system

Speakers for Sunday 25th July

10:15am Vic Newman will be leading the worship and at 6:30pm his brother David will be giving a report about his recent trip to Nepal. Fancy a "mountain-top experience" without moving a muscle?

Thursday, 15 July 2010

Sunday 18th July
