Martin Erwin at Western Way Shared Lunch

At the second of our Autumn lunches we enjoyed our usual soup and lunch which was well attended including 2 visitors from Shropshire. After an enjoyable time we adjourned to the main Chapel to listen to our speaker for the afternoon. Martin Erwin works for Counties Organisation as an evangelist for Herefordshire. He is also Pastor to a church plant in the city of Hereford, now a thriving church community with new premises in Belmont Road.

He enthralled us with his talk about people he had met on his travels, including a distressed woman in need of help and words of comfort on a train journey,  at the Three Counties Christian Witness tent where he was a team leader and lastly, through the Church Community provision of a local office for Christians against Poverty (CAP is a national financial advice service run by Christians). His talk was most interesting, his experiences of God answering prayer and our responsibility to witness and spread the Christian faith was both encouraging and challenging. We look forward to our next lunch on November 6th at 12.30pm, come along and join with us, you'll be made most welcome.
